2026 db/WR academy
The First Chance U Foundation is proud to announce the 2026 FCU DB Academy and FCU WR Academy, taking place July 3-5 in San Diego, California.
These invite-only, three-day experiences are built exclusively for high school defensive backs and wide receivers who are serious about the next level. Athletes will develop position-specific technique, football IQ, and life skills under elite coaching and mentorship.
The FCU DB Academy is led by Jamar Taylor. The FCU WR Academy is led by Tim Patrick.
The 2026 FCU DB Academy is officially sold out. WR Academy spots are still available. Athletes interested in attending the WR Academy can submit their interest form below to be considered for an invitation.
Want to compete? Day 3 of the DB Academy is open to a limited number of athletes for $50. On July 5th at Helix Charter High School, you will step on the field and participate alongside our invite-only athletes under elite coaching and mentorship. Only 9 spots available. Want to make an impact? Sponsorship opportunities are available to help fund gear, equipment, and additional resources for the 15 confirmed DB Academy athletes. $175 sponsors one athlete's experience at the camp.

Purpose: The First Chance U Foundation believes every confirmed athlete deserves an exceptional experience. The 2026 FCU DB Academy is sold out. Fifteen high school defensive backs have been selected, confirmed, and are ready to compete in San Diego this July. Your sponsorship goes directly toward funding their gear, equipment, coaching resources, and additional opportunities that make this experience exceptional.
How it Works:

$175 sponsors one athlete's gear, equipment, and additional resources at the camp

We are looking for 15 sponsors to fully fund the DB Academy athlete experience

100% of your sponsorship goes directly toward the athletes in that room

Sponsors will be recognized and thanked across FCU's platforms
Who You Are Sponsoring: These are invite-only athletes. High school defensive backs who have already been reviewed, selected, and paid to attend. They earned their spot. Your sponsorship ensures the experience matches the level of commitment they have shown.
